Being a creative is tough. I find that the reason why it has become such a big struggle for me is that being creative requires that I tap into my heart.

It requires that I allow myself to be vulnerable, creating something that speaks to my soul, all while hoping others who see it will understand it/appreciate it/enjoy it.

My hope is that others will understand it/appreciate it/enjoy it but the reality is that if they don’t, it’s okay.

My art is not meant to be understood by everyone. I think that is a truth for all art.

Being a creative is challenging. I find that it’s hard to explain to people what I do if they don’t understand the creative process. It’s tough to conceptualize the creative process because it is so unique and special to everyone individually.

Despite it being challenging and tough, it is worth every moment. I can’t imagine a life where I am not creating. I wish we lived in a world that was more receptive to creativity.

We have stripped the world of all it’s beauty, color, and magnificence and it’s time creativity begins to bloom again. #offmysoapbox
